A special wedding with the beloved ladies from A Charleston Event and Bridal Library capped off our wedding season just as the heat of summer came into full swing.

During the planning process, Victoria and Tal, who reside in Miami, determined Charleston, SC would be the great ‘mid-way point’ for all their guests to meet for a destination wedding. Inspired by our artistic presentations and trust that our food would help to capture their love of fine eats, the couple requested we work in some unique, Low Country influences using some of their favorite flavors:

A collaborative dinner series between Eye Level Art and Iverson Catering, Fork+Brush welcomes food as art, for a modern day gallery.

Inspiration for the evening came from the works of featured artist, Kevin Taylor. For the opening dinner, Chef Iverson Brownell sought to design a menu that would embody the spirit of Taylor’s work and natural palate:

To ring in 2010, Iverson Catering enjoyed remarkable evening while entertaining at a private home located South of Broad. The festivities were highlighted by the rare appearance of a blue moon, and kicked off with an inspiring welcome speech from the host as the guests took their seats for dinner.

Year after year, the homeowners had hosted this lively event with their closest friends in Washington DC, since moving to Charleston the tradition had fallen by the wayside.  To spice things up for their Charleston inaugural event, we offered a served dinner with a twist…

Following the salad course, guests were invited up  to sample a series of tapas style entrees at a nearby antiqued, farm table, specially designed by Event Drs for this event. For the third course, dessert service was offered family style, set at the center of the long dining table and featured a sampling of tradtional cakes, tortes and cookies.

To complete the evening, the dessert was accompanied by a sweet treats coffee bar to compliment the holiday season. Check out our facebook page for photos of the evening, HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!

As a welcome to visiting members from the World Presidents Organization, a local Charleston couple graciously hosted an intimate cocktail reception at their South of Broad home. The reception was hosted in conjunction with the Preservation Society of Charleston and offered an opportunity for the guests to mix and mingle before dining at the Charleston Grill.

These clever hosts welcomed guests, and the onset of fall weather, with a madeira themed reception. The selections for the menu were influenced by the three historic madeira’s from the Rare Wine Co.’s ‘Historic Collection.’

Petite Passed Bites

Black Mission Figs: lavender mascarpone, crisp pancetta

New Zealand Lamb Lollipops: mint pesto

Lemon-Honey Poached Salmon Filets: dill caper creme

Grilled Duck Bruschetta: candied ginger and fresh cranberries
